Library Resources

As members of Cornell University, you have access to Cornell University Library’s collection of nearly 8 million books, 88,000 print and electronic journals, and numerous databases. For more information on borrowing and delivery, please contact us.  To request an item not owned by the Library, please either contact us to make a purchase request, use BorrowDirect (4 days delivery), or use Interlibrary loan (7 -10 day delivery).

The library has also prepared a comparison of different citation management software. If you would like assistance or have any citation management questions, please contact our citation management team.

Library Services for Faculty & PhD students

Research & Course-specific Instruction: The research team is happy to assist with your research questions. In addition we can develop custom workshops to meet the needs of a particular course, subject, or student club.

Library-to-Library Book Delivery: allows patrons to request an item be shipped from one library to another library of their choosing for more convenient pickup. Requests are made online using the Library Catalog.

Library Services for Johnson Faculty

Article Delivery: Send us article citations and we will obtain for you a PDF or print copy of the article.

Book Delivery: Library staff will retrieve books from any library on campus for Johnson School faculty and staff. Books will be checked out to you and delivered to your mailbox in Sage. To request book delivery, contact our team.

Research Assistant Borrowing Privileges (Proxy Borrower Cards): Any member of the Cornell faculty may authorize another individual to use his/her library borrowing privileges. Those who are so designated will be Proxy Borrowers and may charge out library materials from any campus library. This service is offered to faculty in order to assist them in their scholarly work. Faculty are strongly encouraged to use this service carefully as they are responsible for all items borrowed by proxy borrowers. To arrange for a sponsored NetID with library privileges for cross-institution collaboration, contact Johnson HR to begin the process.
